VOID: for an empty Solids folder

This is a polarizing opinion, but I don't like null layers. They clog up the Solids folder and have to travel with a project whenever you import that project. Same thing with adjustment and especially solid layers. If that's not an issue for you, feel free to skip this one. I would encourage you to check out Jake's newest video about how/why this might help some of your projects.

We have also added an easy way to:

Zero out the transforms of a selected layer
Auto parent a bunch of selected layers
Replace all old layers in a comp or project
Replace native keyboard shortcuts

OVERLORD is about to break 😯

I recently received word from Gumroad that the licensing system used in Overlord, Timelord and Anubis is being changed on January 2. This was 10 days notice, over the holiday week, of a breaking change to most of our product line.

It was a small fix on our end, but unfortunately, that means everyone needs to download an update to continue working with any of our products that use a license key.

I am so sorry for the inconvenience (I also regret having to use that phrase because it never sounds genuine), but we have tried to make it a little easier to get new downloads as long as you know your license key.

If you don't remember your license key, but have an unlocked product on your system, follow the guides at battleaxe.co/lookup to locate your license key.
If you have access to the email used to purchase, you can also look up keys, downloads, and receipts at license.battleaxe.co.

About Gumroad's recent changes

You may or may not be aware that Gumroad recently announced a pretty major price change. You may or not even be aware that we sell things on Gumroad, and have since 2015. The platform is geared toward creators/artists who want to sell things simply, and it has allowed the weird ideas of a motion designer learning to code to become a proper business with employees and payroll and stuff. We have sung its praises for years and promoted the platform to anyone with ideas of earning money while they sleep.

These new price increases, breaking changes to products (see above), and many smaller but not insignificant elements about the platform are pushing us to find a new way to process payments on new purchases.

For anyone who sells things online or wants to, I hope to share more on the background of where we end up and why. Hopefully we can all grow together and find the best fit for building a creative life we can enjoy.

Hey y'all–
